Singapore (2 July 2020) – As many funds fell into the negative territory on the back of the Covid 19 pandemic, The Montreaux Healthcare Fund Plc has returned 5.04% in the first four months of the year and a whopping 92.73% since its inception in January 2015.
The ongoing pandemic has led to a record occupancy of its beds for long-term sick patients not infected by Covid 19, a situation expected to outlast the current health crisis, according to the fund’s manager, Montreaux Capital Management (UK). MCM (UK) is a specialist investment firm with a global institutional and private client base.
Domiciled in the Isle of Man, The Montreaux Healthcare Fund is Shariah-compliant as certified by Malaysia’s International Shariah Research Academy (ISRA). It is registered under the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s restricted scheme.
The Montreaux Healthcare Fund was set up to capitalise on demographic trends in the UK through the strategic purchasing of affluent care business, which care for people with specialist care needs.
There’s a growing UK population with increasing propensity towards incidents that trigger injuries or conditions, which require long term specialist care, which in the UK are paid for by the government, said MCM (UK). There are also additional income streams coming from large insurers.
The Fund, which seeks to achieve capital appreciation over a 5-year period, also benefits from supply and demand imbalances in a fragmented market and high barriers to entry.
The Fund’s net asset value is calculated independently of MCM (UK) by SMP Fund Services Ltd., and has demonstrated low correlation to equities, bonds, and wider property markets.
The Fund’s Respiratory Care Centre, Lane Fox Romeo, led by Professor Nick Hart played a vital role in Boris Johnson’s recovery from coronavirus such that Johnson’s son was named Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson in recognition of the professor’s part in saving Mr Johnson’s life.
Financial advisory firm Financial Alliance (FA) is the exclusive distributor of the fund in Singapore, while in Malaysia it is distributed by OUD Asset Management Sdn Bhd. -/- www.halaluniverse.net
